A Refreshing Look at America’s 250th in the DMV

At Alls Real Estate, we believe that living in the Piedmont region and the greater D.C. area is about more than just finding the perfect property—it’s about being part of the history that shaped our nation. As we approach the United States’ Semiquincentennial (250th birthday), a familiar icon is helping us celebrate our local pride in a very "refreshing" way.

Coca-Cola recently unveiled its limited-edition America250 collection, and for those of us living and working in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C., the designs hit close to home.

Local Pride in Every Sip

The America250 commission was created to capture the diverse stories of people across all 50 states, and this new collaboration brings that mission to your kitchen table. Coca-Cola is releasing 52 unique mini-can designs—one for every state, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico.

What makes these so special for our clients and neighbors? The artwork specifically honors the landmarks and mottos that make our region unique:

  • Virginia: Our state’s can features a heart, a nod to the iconic "Virginia is for Lovers" slogan we know and love here in Warrenton.
  • Maryland: The Maryland can wouldn’t be complete without the famous Chesapeake crab.
  • Washington, D.C.: Our neighbors in the District are represented by the soaring silhouette of the Washington Monument.

Why We Love This at Alls Real Estate

As a family-owned business that has been a part of Old Town Warrenton since 1976, we have a deep appreciation for heritage. Whether we are revitalizing historic landmarks like the Lee Street Mansion or helping a new family settle into a historic Virginia farmhouse, we are constantly reminded that our homes are chapters in a much larger American story.

Seeing our local identity celebrated on a national stage reminds us why the DMV is such a sought-after place to live. It’s a region where history isn't just in textbooks—it’s in our architecture, our community events, and even on our soda cans!

Join the Celebration

The America250 cans are rolling out to major retailers like Walmart and Target this month. Beyond being a collector’s item, scanning the cans can unlock rewards and even the chance to win a new Jeep—a perfect vehicle for exploring the scenic backroads of Fauquier County!

As we look toward America’s 250th anniversary, we invite you to take a moment to appreciate the history right in your own backyard. If you’re looking to make your own history in a new home this season, the team at Alls Real Estate is here to help you find your place in the heart of Virginia.
