Halloween season is around the corner, and local autumn traditions are in full swing! We love highlighting events that bring families together, celebrate local creativity, and make the most of the crisp fall air.

This October, Fauquier County Parks and Recreation in collaboration with Erin's Elderberries is hosting the Trunk or Treat Boo Bash, a spook-tacular afternoon packed with games, treats, and festive activities for all ages.

What to Expect

The Boo Bash offers a full afternoon of classic fall festivities and trick-or-treating:

Trunk-or-Treating & Free Treats Walk through uniquely decorated vehicle trunks collecting candy and treats in a safe, festive environment.

Games & Entertainment: Enjoy carnival games with prizes, laser tag, a bounce house, and face painting.

Fall Snacks & Food Trucks: Grab warm apple cider, popcorn, cotton candy, or hot meals from local food truck vendors.

Pumpkin Crafts & Activities: Creative stations for kids and families to make seasonal crafts throughout the afternoon.

When:  Sunday, October 25, 2026 | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Where: Vint Hill Community Center & Park Grounds, Fauquier County, VA

Admission:Free to attend

Bonus Community Access: The Vint Hill Community Center will also be open for early voting on event day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as well as providing public restroom access throughout the bash.

Put on your favorite costumes, bring a trick-or-treat bag, and head out for a fun afternoon celebrating autumn with friends and neighbors!
