Welcome to Know it Alls,

Experience the Historic 127th Warrenton Horse Show

At Alls Real Estate, we don’t just help you find a house; we help you find a community. One of the greatest joys of living in Virginia’s horse country is experiencing the rich traditions that bind our neighbors, history, and beautiful landscapes together.

As summer begins to wind down, our local community is gearing up for one of the most anticipated events of the year: The 127th Annual Warrenton Horse Show.

Whether you are a lifelong equestrian, looking to move to the Piedmont region, or simply searching for a classic family-friendly way to celebrate Labor Day weekend, here is everything you need to know about this beloved local tradition.

A Legacy Spanning Over a Century

Did you know that the Warrenton Horse Show Association (WHSA), started in 1899, is the oldest continuously operating corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia?

This completely volunteer-run, community-based organization has spent over a century representing horse enthusiasts, breeders, and the local Warrenton community. Held at the historic showgrounds on East Shirley Avenue, the event beautifully preserves the equestrian heritage that makes Fauquier County such a coveted place to call home.

What to Expect at the 2026 Show

This year, the tradition continues from Wednesday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The Warrenton Horse Show is "C" rated by the USEF, VHSA, MHSA, and USHJA Regional II, serving as a prestigious qualifier for the Virginia Hunter Championships, WIHS, and NAL. It draws incredible talent, yet prides itself on maintaining a relaxed, hospitable, and accessible environment.

Here are a few highlights you won't want to miss:

The Derbies & Classics: Watch top-tier riders compete in the Thoroughbred Hunter Derby and the Hunter Classic.

Hunt Night: A spectator favorite that truly honors Virginia's deep-rooted foxhunting culture.

Local Vendors & Silent Auction: Stroll through local vendor booths, pick up official merchandise, and bid on unique items at the silent auction.

A Perfect Family Outing (And It’s Free!)

One of the best parts about the Warrenton Horse Show is how welcoming it is to the entire community.

Admission and general parking are completely free to the public every day!

The action kicks off daily at 8:00 AM (conditions permitting). You can bring the family, grab a spot in the grandstands, and cheer on the competitors. For those looking for an upgraded experience, front-row grandstand boxes can be reserved for the entire show duration.

Planting Roots in Virginia Horse Country

Events like the Warrenton Horse Show remind us why the Virginia Piedmont is such a special place to live. The rolling hills, open spaces, and deep respect for history create a lifestyle that is hard to find anywhere else.

If you’ve been dreaming of owning a property with a little more acreage, a historic home with character, or an equestrian estate where you can keep your own horses, Alls Real Estate is here to guide you home.
