Spring is in the air, and Warrenton is getting ready to celebrate! Whether you’re looking for a traditional egg hunt for the little ones, a unique nighttime adventure, or a sophisticated family brunch, our town has something for everyone this year.

Mark your calendars for these exciting Easter events happening around Warrenton in April 2026.

1. Traditional Easter Egg Hunt (Ages 1-5)

When: Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 | 10:00 AM

Where: Behind the WARF (Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility)

Cost: $7 per child

Perfect for the toddlers and preschoolers, this morning hunt is held in the beautiful green space behind the WARF. It’s a great way for the little ones to fill their baskets in a safe, fun environment. Be sure to bring your own basket and a camera for those adorable springtime photos!

2. Flashlight Egg Hunt (Ages 5-10)

When: Saturday, April 4th, 2026 | 7:45 PM

Where: Rady Park

Cost: $7 per child

For the older kids looking for a challenge, the Town of Warrenton is hosting the popular Flashlight Egg Hunt! As the sun goes down over Rady Park, grab your brightest flashlight and head out to find hidden treasures in the dark. It’s a thrilling twist on the classic tradition that the big kids will love.

How to Register for Town Events:

Registration is required for both the WARF and Rady Park events. You can sign up:

  • In-person: At the WARF front desk.
  • By Phone: Call (540) 349-2520.
  • Online: Visit the Warrenton Parks & Recreation portal.

3. Pool Easter Egg Hunt at the WARF

Where: Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility (697 Waterloo Rd)

Who says egg hunts have to be on grass? Dive into the fun with the WARF’s annual Pool Egg Hunt. Kids can splash around and collect floating and sunken eggs in the pool. This is a local favorite and fills up fast, so check the WARF events page for specific heat times for each age group.

4. Airlie Easter Brunch + Egg Hunt

When: Easter Sunday, 2026

Where: Airlie (6809 Airlie Rd, Warrenton, VA)

Cost: Varies (Tickets required)

If you’re looking for an elegant way to celebrate the holiday, head over to the historic Airlie estate. Known for its stunning gardens and scenic views, Airlie hosts a spectacular Easter Brunch featuring local seasonal ingredients. Following the meal, children can participate in an egg hunt on the sprawling, picturesque grounds. It’s a full afternoon of food, family, and tradition.

Tips for a Great Easter Weekend:

  • Register Early: Many of these events have capacity limits and sell out weeks in advance.
  • Check the Weather: April showers bring May flowers, but they also bring mud! Dress the kids in sturdy shoes for the park hunts.
  • Bring Your Basket: Unless otherwise noted, most events require participants to provide their own baskets or bags for egg collecting.

Warrenton truly comes alive in the spring. We hope to see you and your family out at the parks and local venues celebrating together!

Happy Easter, Warrenton!
