Nothing defines summer lifestyle better than Polo Season in Warrenton, VA

Polo Season has started at Great Meadow.

As the sun lingers longer in the sky and the rolling hills of Virginia turn that perfect shade of emerald, there is only one place to be: Great Meadow.

At
Alls Real Estate, we don’t just help you find a house; we help you find a lifestyle. And in our corner of the world, nothing defines summer lifestyle better than Polo Season. Whether you are a lifelong equestrian or just looking for the perfect Saturday night tailgate, the 2026 season at Great Meadow is shaping up to be one for the history books.

Starting this June, the "Sport of Kings" becomes the heart of our community's social calendar. Here is everything you need to know to make the most of the season.

The June Jump-Off: Twilight Polo Returns

The magic truly begins in June. There’s something incomparable about watching the sunset over the Fleming Farm Arena while the thunder of hooves echoes through the valley.

  • Kickoff Matches: June 6th marks a major milestone in the calendar, with gates opening at 5:30 PM.
  • The Vibe: Twilight Polo is famous for its "Wine, Polo, and Party" atmosphere. Pack a picnic, grab a local Virginia vintage, and stay for the post-match dance party under the stars.

Mid-Summer Highlights (July & August)

As the heat of July and August settles in, the competition only gets hotter.

  • July 11th & August 1st: These are the anchor dates for the summer. These matches often feature high-goal exhibitions and are the perfect time to host a client appreciation event or a family reunion at a rail-side tailgate.
  • The Alls Real Estate Tip: If you’re thinking of moving to the area, there is no better way to "vibe check" the community than a summer Saturday at Great Meadow. You’ll meet neighbors, local business owners, and fellow horse enthusiasts in an approachable, high-energy setting.

The Grand Finale: September Traditions

While the summer matches are casual and high-energy, September brings a touch of traditional elegance to the field.

  • NSLM Polo Classic (September 13, 2026): This is the crown jewel of the season. Presented by MARS EQUESTRIAN™, this event benefits the National Sporting Library & Museum. Expect the traditional parade of the hounds, a champagne divot stomp, and some of the most sophisticated fashion in Fauquier County.
  • October Encore: For those who aren't ready to say goodbye, the U.S. Polo Assn. Commander in Chief Cup on October 11th offers a spectacular fall finale.

Why We Love It

At Alls Real Estate, we see polo as a reflection of why people choose to live here: a deep respect for the land, a passion for equestrian excellence, and a community that knows how to gather and celebrate the good life.

Planning to attend? * Gates Open: 5:30 PM

  • Polo Starts: 7:00 PM
  • Location: 5089 Old Tavern Road, The Plains, VA

Whether you’re looking for a property with enough acreage for your own ponies or a charming cottage close to the action, we’d love to see you out at the rails this season. Cheers to a spectacular 2026 Polo Season!

See you at the divot stomp!
