As the scent of pumpkin spice fills the air and the holidays rapidly approach, Thanksgiving is right around the corner! It’s a wonderful time to reflect on what we're grateful for and most importantly, to extend a helping hand to those in our community.
At Alls Real Estate, we believe in the power of local support, which is why we spoke with Chrissi Gore, Vice President of the Board of Directors for Leadership Fauquier, to talk about ways you can give back right here in Fauquier County, Virginia. Chrissi is a passionate advocate for local non-profits and she shared some fantastic, year-round opportunities for individuals and businesses to make a difference.
Giving Back with the All Family Coat Drive
First off, we're kicking off the season with an All Family Coat Drive! All sizes needed!
A warm coat can make all the difference as the weather gets colder.

FAUQUIER FISH is a cornerstone of support in our community, offering services from food assistance to senior programs. They always welcome help!

- Give goods: from your pantry that have not expired
- Give Time & Services:
- Volunteer with their food pantry, Weekend PowerPack, or Senior Program. Email: volunteer@fauquierfish.org.

π‘ Helping with Shelter: FAUQUIER FAMILY SHELTER SERVICES
This organization provides local emergency and transitional housing. They often need help with projects to keep the facilities running smoothly.

π§£ Warmth & Essentials: HOPE HEALS - A Community Freestore
Hope Heals provides essential items free of charge. Right now, their focus is on providing warmth as winter approaches:
- They are currently collecting cold-weather gear such as sleeping bags, camping tents, tarps, and hand warmers.

Support local efforts to provide clothing essentials:

About Chrissi
Chrissi Gore has a dedicated life to caring for others, stemming from her background in pediatric healthcare. After stepping back to focus on her family, she began giving back to the community by becoming actively involved with several local organizations.
Her key volunteer roles and passions include:
- Leadership Fauquier: Chrissi serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors and also heads up the alumni committee.
- Community Involvement: She is actively involved with Fauquier Free Clinic and Fauquier Fish.
- Service Focus: Her volunteer work is driven by a belief that strong communities are built by people who care, focusing on efforts to expand healthcare access, provide food security, and strengthen local leadership.
- Personal Interests: Beyond her service, she enjoys expressing her creative through art, exploring nature on hikes, and cherishing time with her family.
