Lead with Heart: Summer Volunteering in Fauquier with Chrissi Gore

Summer Volunteering
June has officially arrived in Fauquier County! As the hills turn that perfect shade of Virginia green and the summer pace sets in, the team at
Alls Real Estate is thinking about what truly makes a "home." We believe a home isn't just the house you live in, it’s the community that supports you.
This month, we had the privilege of speaking with
Chrissi Gore, Vice President of the Board of Directors for
Leadership Fauquier. Chrissi is a passionate advocate for our local non-profits, and she shared some fantastic ways that both individuals and local businesses can make a tangible difference this summer.
"Leadership isn't just about a title," Chrissi shared. "It’s about service. Fauquier County thrives because we show up for one another."
Inspired by Chrissi’s insights, here are four incredible ways you can help your community during the summer months:
1. Support Local Healthcare: Fauquier Free Clinic
Health is the foundation of a thriving community. The Fauquier Free Clinic provides essential medical, dental, and mental health services to our neighbors who lack insurance. Whether you have professional medical skills or can offer a few hours for administrative support, your time ensures that no one in Fauquier is left behind.

2. Care for Our Animals: Fauquier SPCA
Summer is a busy season for our local shelter. The Fauquier SPCA relies on volunteers to keep our furry residents happy and healthy while they wait for their forever homes. From walking dogs to helping with community adoption events, it’s a wonderful way to give back (and get some puppy therapy in return!).

3. Fight Hunger: Fauquier FISH
For many families, summer can be a difficult time as school meal programs go on hiatus. Fauquier FISH (Fauquier Independent Sheltering Hope) works tirelessly to provide food and emergency services. Volunteering at the food pantry or helping with their "Book Basket" program helps keep our community fed and inspired.

4. Find Your Perfect Fit: Let’s Volunteer
If you want to explore various ways to serve, the Let’s Volunteer portal (connected with Volunteer Fauquier) is your best resource. It lists real-time needs across the county, from environmental cleanup to youth mentoring. As Chrissi noted, there is a place for everyone to lead through service.

A Special Thank You
We want to extend a huge thank you to Chrissi Gore for her time and her tireless dedication to Fauquier County. Her leadership reminds us all that we have the power to shape the place we live.
At Alls Real Estate, we are proud to support these organizations. If you see us out volunteering this June, come say hi! Let’s make the summer of 2026 a season of giving.
Happy Volunteering!
The Alls Real Estate Team
